Hilltribe Silver is between 99 and 99.5% Pure Silver and is handcrafted to the highest quality, and Gold vermeil pieces are made using Hill Tribe Silver with a thick, heavy layer of 14k gold to ensure long-lasting wear.  Vermeil is superior to “gold plating” as  the layer of gold used is much thicker.
